While we are a 9 hole course, you'll see from the card that for medal play most holes have alternate tees.
The course measures just under 6100 yards, and is par 72, CSS 70 from the white tees. Tees are also available for casual golf and the Juniors also have their own tees.
The red tees are the ladies and the course is measured as per LGU standards.
A brief description of each hole follows, please see the gallery for pictures of the holes and examples of the stunning views that can be seen from the course.
Hole 1 & 10, a short par 3 to start the front 9 and a challenging par 3 that is 80 yards longer to start the back 9. The good news is it's downhill, but watch the prevailing wind.
Hole 2 & 11, while this is a short 5 it plays generally into the westerly breeze and has a little ditch 100 yards out, do you lay up, or play over it? From the 11th tee the angle is very different, really bringing the two bunkers on the left of the fairway into play.
Hole 3 & 12, a bit of a beast off the back tee with a tricky tee shot, you'll get a chance at revenge next time round as it's 45 yards shorter.
Hole 4 & 13, one of the few holes to play off the same tee both nines. A short uphill par 4 and a fine birdie chance off a good tee shot. Big hitters watch out, the new bunker may just eat you up.

Hole 5 & 14, it looks the same on the card but there is a big difference in tee shots. You'll usually have a crosswind off the 5th and be into the wind off the 14th. There are some lovely views all around from this green.
Hole 6 & 15, you'll find this tee just down a little hill from the 5th green. At stroke index 1 & 2 it's a sweeping dog-leg left to right, it's such a good hole in fact there's no alternate tees but watch out for the new Bunker on the right, it's such a good hole we let you play it exactly the same twice.
Hole 7 & 16, the tees here are the highest point on the course It's a par 5 and a genuine birdie chance off a good tee shot. The angle of the tee shot on the 16th is slightly different, the more of the corner you can take off, the shorter the second shot.
Hole 8 and 17, a blind tee shot over the hill, once you get there it's all wide open in front of you. A good straight tee shot leaves a relatively short shot to the green
Hole 9 & 18, this looks like a short par 4 on the card but the stroke index of 3 & 4 gives you an idea that you're looking at a bit of a wolf in sheep's clothing. This can rescue your card with a birdie or damage it with bogey or worse quite easily. A slight angle change off the tee second time round gives more than enough variation and changes the ideal tee shot from straight or a slight draw to a slight fade.

We hope you'll come and enjoy our course and the tremendous value it gives.

A very tough par 72! Test yourself
